Miriam from Mad Mim is today’s guest. She used the envelope clutch pattern to make this custom clutch with bleach and leather trim! The technique she used is called “shibori bleach” and she’ll tell ya all about it over at her blog!
Miriam is always finding awesome ways to customize fabric, that is my favorite part of her blog! Her recent rose printed discharge project is pretty sweet and she also has a whole post about dying fabric. She also sews for her cute kiddos, this houndstooth coat she posted the other day totally impressed me!

What a beautiful clutch and a talented woman! I might make one too! I’ve done some dyeing and that is such a beautiful job, and such a clever idea to use bleach!
Thanks Kate for the lovely pattern . I completed mine in brocade : http://thehobbyharbor.blogspot.in/2013/03/envelope-clutch-pattern.html.
I LOVE this clutch. So unique and cool!
