DIY girls dresses never get old and this is one of my favorite patterns! The Emma Dress is adorable because you can use your favorite quilting cotton and the flow is just too cute! The Emma Pattern coordinates with the Rachel for women if you want to do a matchy thing! I also love to make these in knit without the back zipper. I'm participating in the Riley Blake fabric tour for Petite Treat - a new line from Lindsay Wilkes of the Cottage Mama. Lindsay is one of my favorite sewing friends and her fabrics are always cute and fun. I love ...Continue Reading

Gold Leather Kitty Purse DIY with the Cricut Maker
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine. When your daughter requests a kitty purse, the Maker makes it happen! This project looks a bit intense, but don't worry - it's not! I love it because there are a few techniques all stacked together, but the project's elements are all pretty easy! And you can involve your little kitty girl if she wants to help! The Maker machine from Cricut cuts LEATHER and this is my second project with a material of the type. I used a ...Continue Reading

Gold Collar Girl /// YOU WERE BORN TO SHINE nursery printable
Download HERE This is a free 8x10 printable that is great for a nursery or kids room! I wanted to have a little print to go along with the Gold Collar Girl Dress. The name "Gold Collar Girl" came from the gold collar on the dress (obvious, right!) but I also played off the "white-collar" or "blue-collar" descriptions of working people. (And I guess there is a pink-collar, too, I didn't know that!) But anyways, the idea behind this printable is that, equipped with a gold-collar dress, this baby was born to shine. No one needs to ...Continue Reading

buy + diy: gold dipped knot bag + face mask spa kit
I am secretly obsessed with face masks! If you follow me on instagram, you might have seen this photo: Hah! Embarrassing! I usually get the basic green one, but for this project I got all sorts of colors and this blue one really surprised me. Such a vibrant color! So anyways, what a cute gift idea, right? A bunch of face masks in a cute little bag. I feel like a good face mask can erase a stressful day pretty quickly! I wanted the bag to look like I had "dipped" it in gold, so I colorblocked the bottom with a gold ...Continue Reading
BABY STYLE // 3 ways to wear a little gold belt
Playing baby stylist is super duper fun. One Little Belt sent me this gold belt a while ago. I paired it with DIY jeggings in this post. Then One Little Belt sponsored Winter Wonderland and sent me a super cute mint glitter belt! I LOVE One Little Belt. I think every little girl and boy should have one in their stocking this Christmas, they are so cute! I love the boy belts because they really keep my toddler's pants up. We even used ours for a Peter Pan costume this year. And the girly ones are too cute to pass up. Anyways, this gold belt ...Continue Reading
DIY jeggings tutorial + a gold baby belt!
Ah, a real tutorial! I'm apparently really lazy every summer, so tutorials have been really sparse. But I love making tutorials, so here is a real tutorial (finally!). I'm just getting back into a routine and excited about it. This is a pattern hack! How to turn a regular leggings pattern into jeggings! I am using my favorite legging pattern by Go To Patterns, the Go To Signature Leggings. I've used them before, to make these tribal leggings. Best legging pattern. Baby jeggings are adorable, right? I mean, yes yes they are. I don't care ...Continue Reading
gold collar girl // project run and play all stars week 3
Click here to go vote! The theme for this week's Project Run and Play All Stars challenge was "All in the Details". I think that is the broadest theme EVER so I had a really hard time with it. I skipped ahead to week 4 and completely finished that before coming back to week three last week. I started 2 outfits that just didn't work out before deciding to make a baby outfit. Sewing for Lena is always fun! I bought some gold spandex for week 2 but it didn't end up working. I had to use it though so thought a dress with a cute gold collar ...Continue Reading
