The LOL surprise doll obsession continues over here! A few months ago I showed you how to make an LOL doll sleeping bag in this tutorial. But if you're dolls don't want to sleep right under the stars, this little DIY doll tent is the perfect addition to your LOL neighborhood! This DIY doll tent is teepee style and uses chopsticks as the framework. It's perfectly sized for a few LOL dolls to share and it also works for other similarly sized dolls like little pony figures, Littlest Pet Shop, etc. And it's also fun to make! Petite Treat Cat DIY Girls Dresses with a little gold sparkle
DIY girls dresses never get old and this is one of my favorite patterns! The Emma Dress is adorable because you can use your favorite quilting cotton and the flow is just too cute! The Emma Pattern coordinates with the Rachel for women if you want to do a matchy thing! I also love to make these in knit without the back zipper. I'm participating in the Riley Blake fabric tour for Petite Treat - a new line from Lindsay Wilkes of the Cottage Mama. Lindsay is one of my favorite sewing friends and her fabrics are always cute and fun. I love ...Continue Reading
DIY zippered pouch tutorial flat bottom + Makeup Faves
Getting zippy again today with this DIY zippered pouch tutorial flat bottom design. This DIY is super similar to the basic zipper pouch and the quilted cosmetic bag tutorial, but has a flat bottom so it can stand up! I love a makeup bag that stands up while I grab stuff out of it. That flat bottom design makes the zippered pouch feel bigger and hold bigger bottles and containers a little bit better. The pattern piece for the flat bottom pouch is included, it has special cutouts that make creating this zippered pouch really simple! I used ...Continue Reading
Boho Baby Romper + Where to Buy Kiss Me, Kate Fabric!
It's another Boho Baby Romper - this time with Kiss Me, Kate fabric! I made quite a few clothing items for my Quilt Market booth and this is one of them. I will be sharing more over the next few weeks! (And women's clothing as soon as I sew a few things up!) I always design fabric with apparel in mind and I pulled a few of my favorite patterns as inspiration for a few of the prints! The Lips, Lashes and Lipstick Tubes from Kiss Me Kate Fabric are all good scales for apparel sewing, but the Polka Bow, Offbeat Houndstooth and Nail Polish stripe ...Continue Reading
Coin Pouch Tutorial
Tiny little coin pouches are so fun to sew and maybe even more fun to stuff! This little coin pouch tutorial makes a perfectly sized mini pouch that is great for using as a little wallet. Since it's summer-time, a coin purse is perfect for bringing change to the pool for snack breaks (ie junk food breaks, if you're my kids). Little coin pouches are also great for tiny little toys, too, maybe for your LOL doll clothes or similar tiny toys that always get lost! The coin pouch tutorial is very similar to the basic zipper pouch ...Continue Reading

Cutting Fabric with Cricut + Riley Blake
This post, cutting fabric with Cricut, is sponsored by Cricut. This is the second post showing how to make a quilt with the Cricut Maker from a Riley Blake Quilt Kit. You can read the first post about finding and choosing a pattern (including a few of my faves) here. In this post I'm continuing the process by cutting fabric with Cricut! NOT BY HAND! No more rotary cutter scars for me! The Cricut Maker cuts all the fabric out for you, as I've showed in a few previous posts. This pattern is actually only squares, so it would be easily made by ...Continue Reading

Here's another version of the EASY SUMMER DRESS pattern that just released! This summer dress sewing pattern has two versions: 1 with the ruffle sleeve and this one without! It's a sleeveless tank sundress, the ultimate sundress! Because there is no ruffle on this one, it's even simpler to sew. This is definitely a 1 hour or less project and my favorite part is using my favorite quilting cottons! I made this one with a contrast pocket, pulling one of the colors out of the floral print. Simplicity Baby Girl Dress Pattern with Cricut
I'm so excited about this cute frilly Simplicity baby girl dress pattern that I made using the CRICUT MAKER! I loved using my new fabric line for this and think this layered dress is the perfect to showcase a fabric line or squeeze as many prints that you love into one project. Sometimes it's hard to pick which fabric to use on a project, but with this one you get to use a bunch at once! The pattern has a professional finish but it is fairly easy overall - and even easier since there are no paper pattern pieces to deal with! Cricut ...Continue Reading
