This post, Animal Hooded Blankets, is sponsored by Nature's Fabrics! Check out their selection of amazing knits and more here! My kids are always fighting over blankets during movie night so I had to fix the problem by making them each their own blanket with an animal hood! These animal hooded blankets are the right size for a kids hooded blanket and have fun animal hoods, too, which keeps the blanket in place but also makes it extra fun! I made 3 different hoods for all different personalities! A cat, a unicorn and panda ...Continue Reading

COFFEE CUP QUILT PATTERN {Free!}
It's finally back! I sent my Coffee Cup Quilt pattern off for quilting with Crinklelove and it's back and quilted! I love how novelty this quilt is. I designed it around Christmastime when I was drinking a LOT of hot chocolate with peppermint. Haha. That cup was just always sitting in my sewing room inspiring me. I don't drink coffee but I think coffee culture is hilarious. So it can also be a hot cocoa quilt. I'm thinking about making one with red cups and greens for Christmas next year! The Coffee Cup Quilt Block Pattern was a ...Continue Reading

I’d rather be sewing…. DIY leather banners with sewing sayings!
These leather + fringe banners are the perfect addition to your sewing space! These are super fast to make. I used the Cricut Maker to cut out the iron-on vinyl AND the leather pieces. It cut out the banner and the hanging holes at the top. I've used Cricut leather before when make this Kitty Purse, and these cut out just as simply. This is the Rose Gold color but I'm also itching to make one in a camel leather. If you don't have the Maker I included a PDF file so you can cut the leather by hand. You will also need some kind of craft punch ...Continue Reading

here for the right reasons and other Bachelor themed Valentines
It's Janu-ARIE and this is when I come clean about a 6 year addiction I just can't quit. The Bachelor (season like 20 something) premieres tonight and I'M SO EXCITED. I started watching this stupid franchise show when I was super sick and pregnant with my baby girl. And I just can't stop. Every season I tell my husband and friends I'm going to quit. And I usually watch every episode, ha! Anyways, I'm over being embarrassed about it. It's so FUNNY. So CLICHE. The same every time. And I can't stop. Arie was totally in the first season I ...Continue Reading
NYE crushed velvet and pleather dress with JOANN
This post is sponsored by JOANN. These photos are a bit hilarious. I thought about redoing the photoshoot after Mae had a day, but then I realized they are kinda perfect, too. I'm sewing for my life, and that involves a bit of tears, rocking and chasing babies, a little comforting and this dress is kinda perfect for all of those! I worked with JOANN to create a New Year's Eve look using fabrics from their stores. I love the glitz and glam of New Years Eve and the freshness of the holiday. It's a total fashion inspiration, too! So ...Continue Reading
