Once I had a pair of Dolce Vita flats in bright turquoise blue. I was in college. They were so perfect, they went with every outfit I ever wore. I loved them so much. So I wore them everyday. I wore them through a summer and a fall. Then winter came. It snowed. I wore them in the snow. They got wet but then they dried. Then it was spring. So I wore them again with jeans and shorts and skirts and pants. I wore them and wore them until I wore them OUT.
So I found a pair of black ones that I’ve had for a while and a can of spray paint (the same paint I used on the acorn wreath-a lovely shade of blue) and put the two together.
And now I have a pair of wearable turquoise flats again. And my void is filled. Ta-da!
I redid the insides, too. I had to because I already pulled out the original insides which were a little worn.
A new pair to love.
Don’t you love that striped print? It’s my old bed sheet from when I was little!
