Name that movie.
Well, folks. It’s over. And I LOST! Okay I didn’t really lose all the way. I actually won 6 rounds! And took second place! And I made a few friends, including some of you and had lots of fun making lots of projects.
Craft competitions are great, although the words stressful and crazy come to mind first. But in the end, a little craziness and a theme unleashes real creativity. I usually ended up making something I wouldn’t have made without a theme! So worth it? Yes!
Thanks for following me through the competition and voting for me (if you did!) And for not being annoyed that that is all I posted about for the last three months. Kinda. Whew. No more craft competitions for me, I am going to stick to real life. At least for a while.
I thought it would be fun to show you all my projects from the last 3 months all in one post. So here we go:
Round 1, Dollar Store: Anthropologie Shower Curtain Knockoff
Round 4, Scraps Only: US Scrap Map
Round 5, Upcycle: Vintage Suitcase Chair
Round 6, Sunshine: Retro Swim Caps
Round 7, Kids Can Do: Family History Matching Game
Round 8, Hardware Store: Crushed Ruffle Printed Totes
Finale, Wild Card: Ruffles n’ Cream Couture Frocks
Special thanks to my models!! It was so hard to keep the competition anonymous, but I tried my best by using all my friends’ kids in the whole town! (almost)
And thank YOU for your support. And thanks Missy for organizing sytyc. She rocks. (And don’t forget to check out the rest of the (awesome) girls in season 7.)
And thanks to the baby for extra hugs (and for spilling cheerios all over the carpet–so cute!)!
And my sweet husband who says I’m always his winner. (barf!)
Oops, that sounded like a speech!
And maybe I’ll post some sewing projects on here soon? Maybe?
see kate not sew?
(I have one more sytyc project to show you tomorrow that I didn’t use for the competition. I think you’ll get a kick out of it.)
have a happy monday.
