This gift will make everyone laugh – and it’s also great for a teen white elephant party! Make a BRUH applique sweatshirt with simple instructions and a free template!

You can use any word for this. The best way to make your own templates is to pull up a word processor and make the letters fairly large, 200-300 pts. Outline the letters if you can before printing to save ink.

Back your fabric with Heat N Bond and peel off the paper backing.
Use sharp scissors to cut out the letters as smoothly as possible. Use the back of your scissors to cut into your previous cut to make the outline crisp.
Place the letters on your sweatshirt. Use a ruler to center and a fabric marker to make marks if needed. Then press with a hot iron to fuse the letters to the sweatshirt.
Topstitch around the letters about 1/8″ from the edges. Backstitch and trim threads.
