This post is a follow-up to the new Sew4Good project Heart Pillows for Breast Cancer Patients. I wanted to include some inspirational cancer SVG FREE downloads for adding iron-on vinyl to your projects! These are actually nice phrases for any hard time (or just general happy motivation!), so you can add them to a gift before giving it for a little extra boost of love! 
These heart pillows help patients recover from invasive surgery. The shape is ideal for holding right under the arm while resting or over the chest as a seatbelt cushion. Read more about this project and how to get involved, HERE!

If you’ve done any iron-on project, this will be super easy! But if it is your first time, I included full instructions below.
Materials for Iron-on Phrases
- Cricut Maker or Explore Air 2 (compare machines here)
- Iron-on vinyl
- Mini EasyPress

Iron-on SVG Instructions
Download the SVG files and upload the one you want to use to Design Space. Adjust the size of the image if desired. Click on the design and ATTACH it to the canvas.
Click the green button at the top right that says MAKE IT.
When you get to the next screen, make sure that the MIRROR button is on (green) and then hit Continue and cut it out! Make sure the shiny side of the iron-on vinyl is face down on the cutting mat.
After the design comes out of the machine, weed it with a weeding tool. Weeding means removing all the excess vinyl or space around the design. Anything you leave on the clear sheet will transfer to your fabric, so make sure there aren’t any little scraps on it.
Then stick the vinyl on your fabric before assembling the heart pillow. For these ones, I used 1 printed fabric for the front of the pillow and a solid for the back. The solid fabric is the perfect canvas for a cute little iron-on design!
I love the design tucked into one side of the heart. Press it down.
Use the Easy Press to adhere the iron-on vinyl to the cotton. Make sure you have a mat under the fabric. Press it for 30 seconds.
Let the vinyl cool and then peel off the clear sheet.
Finish sewing the pillow as shown in the instructions!
