Instructions – Cord Keeper Sewing Tutorial
Use a 1/4″ seam allowance.
Interface your fabric with lightweight fusible interfacing. Cut 2 layers of fabric for each cord keeper. I prefer to interface before cutting.
Pin the pieces together with right sides together. Sew around the cord keeper 1/4″ from the edges, leaving a 3/4-1″ opening on one of the straight edges.
Clip the seam allowance – or use pinking shears.
Turn the cord keeper right side out. Press well and topstitch around the cord keeper 1/8″ from the edges.
Use a KAM snap placer to put a KAM snap on each side of the cord keeper. Make sure one is upside down so the cord keeper can wrap around the cord. Place an extra of one snap side to make the cord keeper adjustable. If you prefer, you can sew velcro in place of the KAM snaps.
