Sometimes I don’t know how these things happen! A pretzel dress and now a cat face peplum! Haha. I guess that is the great thing about sewing, you can make whatever you want!
A few of my patterns are over on Sprout Patterns, which is an offshoot of Spoonflower. Sprout prints any Spoonflower design onto a pattern. The fabric comes with the pattern lines already drawn, seam allowance and shrink already accounted for! So a cat peplum can happen STAT! Here’s a link to my project. You can make your own pattern/fabric combinations and save them to the database!
I found this cat face design through the design system and thought it was so fun! Quirky little cat faces all over a bright pink fabric! I had it printed on my Penelope Peplum pattern with a half sleeve on Spoonflower’s Modern Jersey. When it comes in the mail, it’s like a sewing kit all ready for you! Just cut and sew, so it only takes about an hour! You can also click through other projects that have been saved to help you decide what to make!
You can even upload your OWN designs at Spoonflower and then insert them into clothing at Sprout.
Here’s a peek at the interface:
You can try the fabric on the pattern and move around the placement while you’re in there! This fabric is called “Cat faces” by pet friendly.
I have two more Sprout projects to show you this week – it’s a perfect last minute gift kit to give to any crafty girl!
