It’s Christmas crafting (Taylor’s version)! Make this DIY red scarf ornament for your Swiftmas tree! This adorable red scarf pulls all the Red era vibes and will help you remember it all too well!
This ornament is so easy to make but it makes a huge statement on your tree and will remind you of innocence all season long! You will not be able to get rid of it!
You can also make this scarf into a Harry Potter scarf, just use puffy fabric paint to draw stripes for house colors. Or just make cute scarfs, they are very wintery and Christmasy and look cute on any tree!
Just don’t leave it at your sister’s house!
Red scarf ornament materials
- 1/8″ yard red fleece (affiliate links)
- You really just need a tiny scrap
- I love the plushy fleece for this
- Ornament hook

Print the template using the button below. Enter your email address and you’ll be taken to do the download page.
Print the PDF at 100% or DO NOT SCALE. Cut out the scarf pattern pieces and tape them together on the dotted line.
Taylor swift red scarf ornament tutorial
To make this ornament use the template to cut 1 rectangle. If you prefer to use measurements, the template is 1″ wide by 11″ long.
Cut 5 or 6 slits about 1-1.25″ long at each of the scarf ends. If your fleece is really stretchy wait to cut the slits until after you tie the scarf together for better results.
Fold the scarf with the ends at uneven lengths and tie a knot with the top loop. Pull the top of the scarf.
Pierce the ornament hook through the top of the scarf and tighten hook. Now it’s ready to hang on your Christmas tree!
