I have a new Pippa hack for you today! I’ve posted a few other variations of the Pippa Peplum pattern already, it’s just such a great starting point for so many styles! This one has a dropped back for a ballet look. And it’s super easy, too!
You can really make this with either the circle skirt (from the add-on pattern) or the basic gathered skirt. This one is the gathered skirt dress.
This fabric is my favorite grey jersey ever! I ordered a few yards of it and made myself a shirt plus this dress. Without realizing it I ordered a few MORE yards of it, hah! When it came I realized it was the exact same, but I was glad to have some more. So I have a few more projects coming up with this perfect grey jersey. This fabric was provided by one of my favorite shops, Raspberry Creek Fabrics. It’s always good to have a basic grey around, so go buy some (before I go order it for the third time..haha).
Materials:
-1 yard jersey
–Pippa Peplum Pattern with dress add-on
-matching thread for topstitching
-paper for pattern alteration (this is my favorite) or use scrap paper
Instructions:
-Print out pattern and cut out pattern pieces. Find the back pattern piece and draw in a new dropped neckline, following the image below.
-Use the same back pattern piece to create a new back facing, about 1.5″ thick. Use the new neckline as the top line and draw dots 1.5″ from the line. Connect all the dots and cut out the facing piece. Cut out both back and back facing pieces on the fold.
Complete the dress as outlined in the pattern instructions! It’s the same exact instructions, the neckline will just be lower in the back!
Shoes: Native Slip-ons

That is adorable. Could I ask you what brand of shoes she is wearing?
