Chambray all day!
I’m solidly in my second trimester now and am finally starting to feel a bit more normal! My “first trimester” tends to last until week 16-19 so I’m right at 17 now and feeling good! Mostly! I haven’t thrown up (yet) – yahoo! But definitely feel like it, especially in the morning, and in the afternoon and sometimes evening. Haha, so much for “first trimester morning sickness”. Truth be told I like feeling a little bit sick, it helps me remember that theres a sweet little baby in my belly and that is a thrill, even the 4th time over.
I have said it before that it’s hard for me to sew for myself while pregnant. I don’t love getting huge and I’m sick and tiiiiiirrrrred. With the hopes for another baby in the future, I made a few maternity patterns before getting pregnant. The Sagittarius top/dress was not a maternity pattern originally, but it has a few extra pieces included to make it one! The best part about this pattern is that it is sized out for a bunch of bust sizes! That means no Full-bust adjustments, or Small-bust adjustments, this pattern will fit YOU without making any adjustments! The extra bust sizes is a nice feature to go with the maternity version of the pattern. I plan to wear this one throughout my pregnancy and through the nursing phase so I kicked up the bust size by one. And the buttons make it a perfect nursing dress as well!
