Make your own DIY hair bow holder! This cute fabric holder has space for clips, hair bows and even loops for headbands!

In this post I will show you how to make a hair bow holder out of fabric! Find a cute wooden shape to mount it on and then hang it up. You’ll be able to keep all your clips and bows organized with this cute holder – everything has a place! I love this for keeping clip sets together and all the holiday clips and bows that always get lost!

Hair Bow Holder Materials
- 2 jelly roll strips, cut down to 26″ each
- Or cut your own strips 2.5″ by 26″
- Wooden shape
- I’m using this cute wooden bow (affiliate links) (M, 1/4″ thick) painted black!
- Or use a larger wood shape such as this one and add a name or monogram
- Hanging hardware without the screws (or twine for hanging)
- Tacky glue
How to make a DIY hair bow holder with fabric
Start by cutting 2 strips to 26″ long from your jelly roll strips, which are about 2.5″ wide. If you want to make this longer for more bows, you can!

Place the two strips together with right sides together. Using a 1/4″ seam allowance, sew around 3 edges leaving one of the short edges open.

Clip the corners of the seam allowance and turn right side out. Press well.

Fold under 1/4″ at the open edge and topstitch 1/8″ to hold. Glue the top of the fabric to the back of your wooden shape using tacky glue. Let it dry then glue the hanging hardware to the back.

Your bow holder is done! Clipping your bows onto this organizer is so satisfying and you’ll always be able to find what you need! This works for all types of clips, barrettes and clasps hair accessories!
I hope this project helps you organize your pile of bows and clips!
