The dollar store has so many great sewing supplies! In this post I’m sharing the BEST Dollar Tree Sewing Supplies! These are things you might not think to have in your sewing room but you should!

This post even includes a downloadable shopping list – just print it out and get on your way!

DIY Embroidery Album – Dollar Tree Sewing Supplies

This might be my favorite Dollar Tree project! Grab a 4×6 photo album and fill it with all the supplies you need for embroidery on the go!

All you need for this project is a little bit of card stock or scrapbooking paper and some fabric. Glue the fabric to paper cut 4″ x 6″ – putting glue only on the sides. Use the loose fabric to stick embroidery needles into the keep them organized.

Cut slits in the paper/fabric and wrap embroidery floss to keep your colors on hand! You can even use the empty pockets to hold tiny scissors or bobbins of floss!

Now shut the album and you’re ready to stick it in a travel bag.

Mini Photo Frame Pincushion

Here is another great DIY – make a cute pincushion with a mini photo frame!

You will just need a small piece of fabric and some stuffing! See the video for the instructions.

Bowl for rounding corners

Grab a serving bowl in the kitchen section! These make a perfect template for creating rounded corners on blankets and other projects. You can also use the whole circle to trace for round projects.

Add seam allowance with 2 pencils

Tape two standard pencils together and trace a pattern without a seam allowance to add one on. Don’t worry – all See Kate Sew patterns have seam allowance included but this is a great hack for patterns that don’t!

Kitchen Funnels – Dollar Tree Sewing Supplies

Head to the kitchen utensils section and grab a pack of funnels! These come in a 3-pack with different sizes. I find myself using funnels often with my sewing – for filling bean bags, weighted blankets, lavender sachets and even pouring glitter into my projects! It’s nice to have a dedicated set for my sewing room!

Dollar Tree Sewing Supplies – Cosmetics Storage

This cute cosmetic holder has 3 sections. The back actually has words on it, but you can either turn it around or cover them with some cute stickers! This is great for holding essentials such as a rotary cutter, turning tools, marking pens and pencils and seam rippers!

Clear Organizers

These clear plastic organizers are made of a thick acrylic and they are super nice for holding notions! You can even stack them since they are sturdy.

Chalk

Use plain chalk to write on darker fabrics! This is great for transferring pattern markings to fabric.

Pedicure toe separators – Dollar Tree Sewing Supplies

Find these in the beauty section! Toe separators are perfect for holding bobbins and preventing the thread from coming off.
