Book Quilt Pattern Fabric Suggestions
The best part about this quilt is that you can use ANY fabrics you want! Grab a fat quarter stack or just raid your scrap stash for a good mix of fabrics, after all real books are all different!
The Storybook quilt in the photos is made up of a 10″ stacker (precut also called a Layer Cake) with a few text or word fabrics mixed in from other yardage.
I love the typography on this quilt – it gives it such a nice touch! The background fabric has a light script all over it.
You can even save selvedges and use those for the book spines or add custom embroidery to add your favorite book titles to the book covers! It may be so much fun you’ll be sewing bookshelf quilts for everyone!
