I love shopping for sewing supplies and craft ideas at the dollar store! Today I have 6 spring organizing and sewing projects using Dollar Tree finds – and they are CUTE!

Sewing Projects Using Dollar Tree Finds

All the instructions for these projects are in the video below!

Sewing Projects Using Dollar Tree Finds – Bow Wreath

All you need for this project is a wooden wreath from the wood crafts section and a fat quarter of fabric! Grab at fat quarter at the Dollar Tree or from your stash.

Download the bow pattern pieces below by clicking on the pink button and signing up for the newsletter!

Print at 100% or DO NOT SCALE. This pattern prints on 4 pages and includes 2 sizes. The large size is shown. Tape together as shown:

Little Chicks Appliqué Towel

I found the cutest pillow cover in the Easter section with little chicks and decided to cut it up for appliqués! These little chicks are adorable and the pillow cover has 6 useable chicks in 3 different styles! I also picked up a hand towel to use for this cute bathroom decor.

  • Hand towel
  • Easter chick pillow cover
  • Heat N Bond Lite

Easter Basket Strips

This might be my favorite – an adorable shabby chic easter basket for just $1.50 plus some fabric scraps?! Sign me up! It’s so cute and so easy.

  • Dollar Tree laundry basket
  • 2.5″ fabric strips
  • Glue gun

Clear Canisters

Are these new or have I just skipped over them so far? I love these because they have a suction top making it a great and safe way to store things that could make a huge mess.

Sewing Projects Using Dollar Tree Finds – Painted Paper Mache Notions Box

This quick craft is fun and you can customize it in so many ways! Grab a paper mache box from the craft aisle and some acrylic paint. I used paint from the Dollar Tree but It’s not very good, so use some from another store if you can!

Paint your box, or leave it! Then glue some patches from the craft section onto the box! If you don’t have patches you can also use stickers, rhinestones, etc.

Chalkboard Labels

I have so many bins of fabric I decided it was time to label them and these chalkboard label tags are just so cute. I used a piece of chalk to write on them but then decided I should get a white paint marker so it doesn’t rub off! Just loop through your bin or basket handle.
