Make this Elf on the Shelf Bathrobe pattern for a nice spa day or even an elf “sick day”! I love creating fun new Elf scenes but I do get tired mid December so I’m trying to get a head start and have a few Elf on the Shelf ideas filed away!
The bathrobe can be sewn with white felt or a scrap of batting so you might not even need to go to the craft store!
Set up spa day with printable cucumber eye masks – the cucumbers print off with the bathrobe pattern! Just cut them out and use a tiny piece of tape or dab of glue to keep them on.
A gravy boat filled with marshmallows makes a great bathtub! Your elf on the shelf will be relaxed and ready for more elf shenanigans this Christmas season!
You can also use this bathrobe pattern as a karate outfit, a dentist or researcher lab coat outfit, or have your elf take a sick day. Another idea is to use this bathrobe for bedtime with the Elf sleeping bag pattern!

- White Felt or Batting
- Hot Glue
- Templates

Click below to download the bathrobe pattern. Print the template at 100% or DO NOT SCALE. The template includes cucumbers for the spa eye mask, print using color to make sure they are green!
Elf on the Shelf Spa Day Outfit Instructions
1/4″ seam allowance included in pattern pieces.
To sew this project, cut out 1 robe pattern piece on the fold for the back. Cut out 2 mirror image, not on the fold for the fronts. For the front pieces, cut through two layers of felt folded over itself to get two mirror image facing felt pieces. This won’t matter if your fabric is reversible, most felt and batting is.
Cut 2 pockets (optional) and two tie pieces.
Sew (or glue!) front pieces to the back piece along the shoulder and underarm/side seams.
Fold the center front neckline over to create a faux collar. Glue in place and repeat on other side.
Glue one tie piece to the back of the bathrobe. Wrap second tie piece around the sleeve hems to create a cuff. Trim to fit.
Glue pockets to the front.
Tie the bathrobe tie in the front. Your elf is going to be so cozy in this little bathrobe!
