This post, Coffee Cup Quilt Block, is sponsored by Cricut. Quilt Block of the Month is back this month with a new super fun and super fast block - the Coffee Cup Quilt Block - that will turn you from "not-quilter" to quilter! COFFEE COFFEE COFFEE! Name that show! This Coffee Cup Quilt Block can also be made to look like hot cocoa or even soda cups! I don't actually drink coffee, but I spend a lot of time with the same paper cups filled with a very specific peppermint hot chocolate combination. With soy milk if I'm feeling extra ...Continue Reading
Sagittarius Ruffle Sleeve Hack
This post may contain affiliate links! I'm wearing my Sagittarius collection on repeat these days. It's good that I have so many! This one might be my favorite, it's a super cozy flannel. Lots of my testers used flannel (you can see their photos in my Facebook group!) and I was getting jealous of their clothes, hah! So I had to make myself one! I wanted to do a quick hack with this top that makes the top just a tad bit easier. Cutting off the sleeve placket will save you 4 buttonholes and a facing so it can make it a quicker sew ...Continue Reading

here for the right reasons and other Bachelor themed Valentines
It's Janu-ARIE and this is when I come clean about a 6 year addiction I just can't quit. The Bachelor (season like 20 something) premieres tonight and I'M SO EXCITED. I started watching this stupid franchise show when I was super sick and pregnant with my baby girl. And I just can't stop. Every season I tell my husband and friends I'm going to quit. And I usually watch every episode, ha! Anyways, I'm over being embarrassed about it. It's so FUNNY. So CLICHE. The same every time. And I can't stop. Arie was totally in the first season I ...Continue Reading
NYE crushed velvet and pleather dress with JOANN
This post is sponsored by JOANN. These photos are a bit hilarious. I thought about redoing the photoshoot after Mae had a day, but then I realized they are kinda perfect, too. I'm sewing for my life, and that involves a bit of tears, rocking and chasing babies, a little comforting and this dress is kinda perfect for all of those! I worked with JOANN to create a New Year's Eve look using fabrics from their stores. I love the glitz and glam of New Years Eve and the freshness of the holiday. It's a total fashion inspiration, too! So ...Continue Reading
Ruffled Floral Apron from Sprout Patterns!
This was such a fun project! I haven't made one of these Ruffled Aprons for years. The pattern was released maybe 4 years ago, it's FREE when you sign up for my newsletter, but also available in my shop if you don't want to sign up! But... Sprout Patterns also carries the pattern in their printed fabric! Which means you can pick your fabrics from Spoonflower (through the Sprout website!) And that means, you can create your own designs, upload them to Spoonflower and then print them out with Sprout! The fabric comes with the pattern pieces ...Continue Reading
Unicorn Makeup Brush Roll with Cricut: DIY tutorial with iron-on vinyl cut file
This post is sponsored by Cricut. Unicorns have to be the "it-animal" of the moment. While I was designing this project I was trying to decide if my ear-unicorn head ratio was right and I had remind myself that unicorns aren't actually real. So I didn't google it ;) But I guess it you believe it enough they are real! ;) This unicorn project incorporates everything sparkly and girly: Unicorns! Unicorn horn makeup brushes! Glitter that doesn't shed! Polka dots, shimmery and heart fabrics! This unicorn brush roll will hold all your ...Continue Reading

Floral Stripe Dreamer Top with Sprout Patterns
Day 2 of Sprout before Christmas projects! (I just made that up!) This is another pattern of mine available through Sprout, which prints any Spoonflower design onto pattern pieces onto fabric! Whew! So you get a big panel of fabric with pattern lines drawn on it. From there you just cut it out and sew it together! This is my Dreamer Top in Modern Jersey! I made it with a gorgeous floral with a cream and black stripe in the background. The fabric is called Victoria Floral Stripe by crystal_walen. The Dreamer Top is a basic dolman. I ...Continue Reading
Cat Face Peplum with Sprout
Sometimes I don't know how these things happen! A pretzel dress and now a cat face peplum! Haha. I guess that is the great thing about sewing, you can make whatever you want! A few of my patterns are over on Sprout Patterns, which is an offshoot of Spoonflower. Sprout prints any Spoonflower design onto a pattern. The fabric comes with the pattern lines already drawn, seam allowance and shrink already accounted for! So a cat peplum can happen STAT! Here's a link to my project. You can make your own pattern/fabric combinations and save them to ...Continue Reading
