It's finally back! I sent my Coffee Cup Quilt pattern off for quilting with Crinklelove and it's back and quilted! I love how novelty this quilt is. I designed it around Christmastime when I was drinking a LOT of hot chocolate with peppermint. Haha. That cup was just always sitting in my sewing room inspiring me. I don't drink coffee but I think coffee culture is hilarious. So it can also be a hot cocoa quilt. I'm thinking about making one with red cups and greens for Christmas next year! The Coffee Cup Quilt Block Pattern was a ...Continue Reading
Maternity Sewing Series #1: Floral Blair Maternity Tee
Happy Monday! This is the first in a series I am committing myself too: Monday Maternity Makes! I want to sew more maternity clothes for myself this time around so I’m hoping to share one new maternity sewing make every week or so. Emphasis on the OR SO because you know…I might be on the couch instead. This first one is a version of the Blair Maternity Tee! The Blair was my first dedicated maternity pattern and it’s such a great basic. I try to add a maternity version to patterns where I can, sometimes all you need is one extra pattern piece ...Continue Reading
Pincushion Cactus Tutorial
Hey cute little cactus! This little cactus is actually a pincushion. If you've ever thought that your yellow pins needed a pincushion cactus to hang out it, it's your lucky day! This cactus shaped pincushion is so easy to make! I love the look of basic yellow pins in the cactus, they look just like little yellow buds. I also loved the idea of putting flower pins in there for a blooming cactus or plain metal pins for basic spikes. These pink ones are super cute. I used my machine for this project, but it could also be a ...Continue Reading
DIY Maternity Clothes: Sweatshirt Refashion
This post was originally posted over at Gugu Guru as a part of a 3-part maternity series! Today I'm bringing it home so you have access to it in my archives! This is one of my all-time favorite makes, I wear it all the time. And now that I have a real baby belly (that one in those photos was fake!) I am wearing it often. It's a good cooler-spring top. I am really making an effort to sew during this pregnancy. I'm kinda over buying maternity clothes, and it's pretty fun to sew around a bump. I feel like I'm usually too tired or overwhelmed ...Continue Reading
the fourth is with us + other pregnancy announcement tees
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine. I had fun (maybe too much?) coming up with 3 different tees to announce a pregnancy. One's geeky, one's cheeky and one's just cute! Each one has a downloadable SVG cut file, so you can make your own! I used store-bought maternity tees (from Target and Walmart) for these. I thought about making them with my Blair Top pattern, but I'm tired! Haha! But that is what I LOVE about Iron-ons. They are super fast, like 5 minutes from ...Continue Reading
Days of the Week shirts with Cricut Patterned Iron-on
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday! Thursday Friday, Saturday & Sunday! You'll never forget the day of the week with these Days of the Week shirts! I made them sweatshirts because I'm always cold. You can use these same designs on t-shirts, tanks, or even zipper pouches. I used the new Cricut Patterned Iron-on Vinyl for these, it's so cute! Cricut also just released an accessory for the EasyPress, it's ...Continue Reading
free quilt block pattern // Makers Gonna Make Quilt Block
free quilt block pattern: Maker's Gonna Make Block It's Quilt Block of the Month time!! Instead of giving you a full quilt, I'm sharing this tiny little mini-quilt I made with this block. I love the simplicity of a quilt block and this one is super easy! Each QBOM is the same size - 10" by 10" so you can sew them all together, or mix and match them into a big quilt. Or you can just sew one and make it a little wall hanging or use it on another small sewing project. The whole idea behind starting a Quilt Block of the Month series was to ...Continue Reading

I’d rather be sewing…. DIY leather banners with sewing sayings!
These leather + fringe banners are the perfect addition to your sewing space! These are super fast to make. I used the Cricut Maker to cut out the iron-on vinyl AND the leather pieces. It cut out the banner and the hanging holes at the top. I've used Cricut leather before when make this Kitty Purse, and these cut out just as simply. This is the Rose Gold color but I'm also itching to make one in a camel leather. If you don't have the Maker I included a PDF file so you can cut the leather by hand.
