Long time no blog! I've been busy working on a few big projects, but this new fabric was the perfect excuse to break and make something fun and quick! I made a few Pom Pom pincushions. Sew Caroline sent me some of her new Happy Home collection fabrics, the colors are so happy and bright! I used them to make hexagon pom pom pincushions and then topped each one with a yarn pom pom. I don't know what is better than hexagons and pom poms! The best part of this is you can use up to 7 different fabrics for each pincushion! The top has 6 ...Continue Reading

HOW TO DO IT ALL + make time for sewing with HP
I've partnered with HP & Intel to show you how I work from my happy place and make time to sew! As a busy mom, I am often asked the age-old question "How do you do it all?". The question first makes me laugh (Hah! you have no idea, come see my laundry pile!), and then it makes me a little sad! The feeling I get from the women who ask me this question is that they don't think they are doing enough, or they want to have time to be creative and pursue hobbies, but it just doesn't seem to fit in their current lifestyle. I never want anyone ...Continue Reading

CATOBER! how to make a tshirt dress
(She's mad because we took away Grumpy Cat^ :( ) Tshirt dresses are a super fast way to make a cute dress and a great project if you have a cute quilting cotton fabric that you want to use. For this one I used a pink graphic tee (with a cat of course) and some bright citron yellow cotton. H&M is always stocking the most adorable cat tees. I picked this one up with the intention of making it into this tshirt dress, a simple half store-bought and half homemade play dress. It took about half an hour! You'll see ...Continue Reading

I was pretty excited to get a package of fabric from Sara of Sew Sweetness. We've be online buddies for years and I even got to meet her (briefly) at Quilt Market last year. I've always admired Sara's taste in fabric, bags and quilts. She's amazing at what she does! Sara designed a line of fabric for Art Gallery called Jungle Avenue and the fabrics in this post are from it! I use one of the wovens to make a little zippy top.
