Some more inspiration for your Soho blouses! This SOHO Blouse is made in Dear Stella cotton, the print is called Shadowbox Teeth Geo. Normally I don't recommend quilting cotton for the Soho Blouse, but this fabric has more drape than average quilting cotton. I think it worked pretty well! I pulled in a model for this one, though I will model one for you next week, so you can see how it works for maternity, too! About the SoHo Blouse The SOHO blouse is a bohemian style gathered top with an angled yoke and sleeves. ...Continue Reading

FREE Cat Bed Sewing Pattern
This post, Cat Bed Sewing Pattern, is sponsored by Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores. I don't talk about my cat too much. Honestly, we don't have a very good relationship???? She doesn't really like me and the feeling is mutual, hahaha. But, the kids adore her and include her in every listing of family members that ever takes place. They play with her and dote on her which is really sweet to watch. Almost sweet enough to forgive the nightly attacks on my feet. Almost! So I made her a diy cat bed as a thank you from the kids I ...Continue Reading
Wonderland Easter Coasters
Today I'm excited to be participating in the Wonderland Fabric Blog Tour with these Quilted Coasters! I shared a peek of this fabric on Instagram a few weeks ago and it's now available through Riley Blake! Melissa of the Polka Dot Chair is the designer of this line, it's just as cute as her last line! I especially love the big bunny print and the black and white stripes. This line lends itself perfectly to Easter sewing, but basic coasters are great for everyday use! Protect your tables with quilted fabric ...Continue Reading
you spin me right round baby right round RECORD SLEEVE VALENTINES!
Amidst all the kid-centered Valentines, I always love thinking of a special Valentine idea for my husband. In recent years, I've made these "My Life Would Suck Without You" (Succulent Valentines), "You're all that and a bag of chips" printables and this year I have a special one for a vinyl lover! These Record Sleeve Valentines are catchy and fun to put together. These record sleeve valentines adorn a label that says "You spin me right round, baby, right round" and you can finish the rest in your head! The song always reminds me of the ...Continue Reading

pom pom pincushions
Long time no blog! I've been busy working on a few big projects, but this new fabric was the perfect excuse to break and make something fun and quick! I made a few Pom Pom pincushions. Sew Caroline sent me some of her new Happy Home collection fabrics, the colors are so happy and bright! I used them to make hexagon pom pom pincushions and then topped each one with a yarn pom pom. I don't know what is better than hexagons and pom poms! The best part of this is you can use up to 7 different fabrics for each pincushion! The top has 6 ...Continue Reading
HOW TO DO IT ALL + make time for sewing with HP
I've partnered with HP & Intel to show you how I work from my happy place and make time to sew! As a busy mom, I am often asked the age-old question "How do you do it all?". The question first makes me laugh (Hah! you have no idea, come see my laundry pile!), and then it makes me a little sad! The feeling I get from the women who ask me this question is that they don't think they are doing enough, or they want to have time to be creative and pursue hobbies, but it just doesn't seem to fit in their current lifestyle. I never want anyone ...Continue Reading
