Countdown Maternity Tee + 10 Pregnancy Essentials
Pants: Target (sized down 1) Shirt: c/o The Countdown Shop Bag: c/o Fawn Design Loving this countdown tee from the Countdown Shop! I am also glad I got it just 5 weeks from my due date because I got a size that fits! I'm running out of clothes and glad I sized up 1 from what I would normally think for this tee. I haven't had the heart to cross off any numbers yet, but the package comes with a red fabric pen, so I may do that tonight! This has been my favorite maternity outfit, jeans and a (big-enough) tee! This shirt is really ...Continue Reading
Paint Splatter DIY Baby Bibs
Make these cute and contrasty DIY baby bibs for your curious new eater. They are also great for younger droolers and the stark black and white contrast will keep the attention of any little baby. These bibs are super simple to make and chic enough for your modern baby bag! And I had a great time splattering paint everywhere! I was inspired by BABYBJÖRN's new Watercolor collection for this project! It's a collection of painterly colored and artfully designed baby gear, including bouncers, carriers and a travel ...Continue Reading
Soho Maternity
Today I'm finally sharing a maternity version of the Soho Blouse! This top is so flowy that it lends itself well to maternity wear! I love flowy tops as a general rule (pregnant or not) so that's why I designed the Soho Blouse in the first place! I didn't modify the width of the blouse at all for this, but I did add 3" to the hem. I used the angled hem option, so I added the length the exact same way as I did in the Manhattan Dress tutorial. The extra length isn't necessary for it to fit as maternity wear, but depending on how you carry you ...Continue Reading
Modern Granny Square Quilted Pillow Cover Tutorial
I made this pretty pillow with the leftover fabric from my Modern Granny Square Quilt. The quilt is a cheater quilt, meaning the fabric is just printed with a quilty pattern, instead of being pieced together. (i.e. it is super fast and equally pretty as a real quilt!) So this pillow is also a cheater pillow! Since it's quilted with batting in between it's super nice and soft to lay on! Quilted Pillow Cover Tutorial // Materials: -1/2 yard granny square fabric -1/2 yard lining fabric -1 yard canvas fabric -1 yard granny square ...Continue Reading
IKEA Doll Bed Sheet Set Tutorial
I love encouraging make-believe play and sometimes a new accessory, like an updated doll bed, can make an old doll newly exciting! This post includes a doll bed sheets tutorial for your doll's bed or crib! I got this basic doll bed from IKEA and made the new sheets with just 1 yard of fabric! And it's just a bunch of rectangles, so it's easy to sew! Watching my babies tuck in their babies is one of my favorite things! My cute bow fabric with gold accents is called Wee Sparkle Confection Bow Ties c/o Fat Quarter ...Continue Reading

Dear Stella Soho Blouse
Some more inspiration for your Soho blouses! This SOHO Blouse is made in Dear Stella cotton, the print is called Shadowbox Teeth Geo. Normally I don't recommend quilting cotton for the Soho Blouse, but this fabric has more drape than average quilting cotton. I think it worked pretty well! I pulled in a model for this one, though I will model one for you next week, so you can see how it works for maternity, too! About the SoHo Blouse The SOHO blouse is a bohemian style gathered top with an angled yoke and sleeves. ...Continue Reading

I'll show you how to use these in clothing, but you can also use them in bags and more. I think it's been about 6 months and I've been using my KAMsnap placer in all sorts of tutorials. See the Oilcloth Changing Mat that snaps together and the Bandana bibs that snap together in the back! KAM snaps add a bright pop of color to your project. I've been looking for excuses to add ...Continue Reading
SOHO-along// Colorblocked Manhattan Tops + Bonnets!
Did I mention how hard it was to get that photo right there? SO HARD! Haha. Turns out three little girls with minds of their own don't really like to sit still for photos. But isn't that shot above cute?! I sewed up a whole bunch of Manhattan Tops and coordinating bonnets with solid fabrics. The Manhattan top is so great for color blocking and fabric pairing since you can use one fabric for the top and sleeves and another for the skirt! It also makes a good "larger" scrap-busting project if you have little cuts of fabric laying ...Continue Reading
