What!! A new women's pattern!? It's been a solid year+ since I released a women's pattern (let's blame: pregnancy, baby, teething, moving, 2 others kids and not enough diet coke for that!) But I'm back on my game and ready to sew! This pattern is the Rachel Top, it's a tunic/top and dress pattern with a gathered top, exposed zipper and ruffly bell sleeves! It's sorta the perfect blouse for a quick leggings combo! It will be out next week and I'll share more photos then! It's a bit hard to see the features in these photos, but it is really comfy ...Continue Reading

DOLL FABRIC Photos!
If you follow on Instagram you've seen lots of peeks of these, but I'm finally sharing the finished girl dolls from my new Doll Fabric line! This line has 9 prints, including 3 Doll Panels. The Doll Panels are a 1 yard cut of fabric that has two printed doll fronts and backs, plus a skirt and ice cream cone accessory. You just cut along the lines and sew up the dolls, then stuff them up! Each 1 yard panel has everything you need - just add stuffing and a little thread! These are quick and fun to make and you can get crazy making more ...Continue Reading
Modern Granny Square Quilted Pillow Cover Tutorial
I made this pretty pillow with the leftover fabric from my Modern Granny Square Quilt. The quilt is a cheater quilt, meaning the fabric is just printed with a quilty pattern, instead of being pieced together. (i.e. it is super fast and equally pretty as a real quilt!) So this pillow is also a cheater pillow! Since it's quilted with batting in between it's super nice and soft to lay on! Quilted Pillow Cover Tutorial // Materials: -1/2 yard granny square fabric -1/2 yard lining fabric -1 yard canvas fabric -1 yard granny square ...Continue Reading
SOHO-along: Fabric selection for the Soho and Manhattan Blouses
Hopefully you're gathering materials for the Soho/Manhattan Sewalong, so let's talk FABRIC! The SOHO blouse works best with lightweight woven fabrics such as: voile, lawn, poplin, double gauze, eyelet, lace, chiffon, chambray, and similar fabrics. The Manhattan Blouse works in all the same fabrics as the SOHO, but also quilting cottons! I have used quilting cottons for the Soho, but it is harder to get a nice front gather with the SOHO because the shape is a little different. So, if you want to use it, go for it, ...Continue Reading
One Hour Modern Granny Square Quilt with quilt cloth!
I have a new cheater quilt cloth to share with you today! This is a new pattern in 3 color ways! I'm calling it Modern Granny Square Quilt Cloth because the pattern reminds me of crochet granny squares. I love the simple pattern and I STILL haven't decided which color to use for my baby, even though I made these a few months ago! Haha. I may keep 2 or maybe even all three. This fabric sews up into a simple baby quilt just like the One-Hour Hexagon Quilt or the One-Hour Triangle Quilt tutorials. The quilt cloth comes in 3 color ...Continue Reading

sherbet doll quilt tutorial & ruched corner binding technique!
Ever since I released the doll fabric panels, my kids have been playing with them constantly. They especially like to put them in our little doll bed, so I've been making doll blankets for them! This cute quilt is really simple and can be upsized for larger quilts. It's also the most basic kind of quilt I can think of--just a whole bunch of squares arranged in a diagonal pattern. I'm also sharing a technique I made up to avoid mitering corners! I'll show you how to round the corners and then use 1" (METALLIC!) binding with basting to gather ...Continue Reading
