It's vest weather again! Thank goodness, I love the fall! And fall clothes. Girl Charlee sent me a yard of this amazing aztecy sweatshirt fleece. It's gone now :( but they have other sweatshirt fleeces to choose from and other tribal inspired prints also! I'd been wanting to try this pattern (my Aztec vest pattern) out with a different pocket. Open welt pockets are included in the pattern. This pocket is an add-on, with free download available below! It's a fully lined fold over pocket with a cute little button just for fun. Plenty big ...Continue Reading
BABY + MAMA STYLE // plus a DIY LOVE necklace
An outfit post! (I got dressed!) This dress is from my pals at eShakti. I wrote about them here and here also. Still love this company. I love this dress, I used my custom measurements to make it fit just so! A well-fitted dress will do wonders for your self esteem, seriously! I picked this one because I thought it looked like the perfect Wendy dress and I could also wear it for Halloween. I love costumes that keep giving after Halloween. The color is a little darker than I thought online, but I think it will still work great for a ...Continue Reading

removable fur lined high tops tutorial
Here's a fun way to cozy up some Keds! Keds has always been one of my favorite shoe brands and I sorta love how they are so simple and classic. So much room for creativity! I had some extra faux fur (from an upcoming secret project) and thought it would be cute around the top of my new high tops. I thought about it for a while because I didn't want to sew or glue the fur on, I wanted it to still be removable. Clipping it on was the answer. Since the fur clips on and off you can clip it on when its rainy and off when its sunny. I wore ...Continue Reading
floral trucker hat DIY – custom hat template
Customize your own trucker hat with fabric! This floral trucker hat DIY will show you how with a template to download! I love the look of trucker hats, especially in the summer! But they are a little plain, so this hat is an amped up version! Since you can use any fabric, it's a great way to showcase a favorite print! I got new glasses! They're fake ones, "fashion frames" even though I do wear glasses. Sometimes I just want to wear fakes ones and keep my contacts on. I've been searching for the perfect frame forever and I ...Continue Reading
floral fire breathing dragon toy sewing pattern
I made a sweet little dragon toy with some leftover fabric from a dress I've been slowly cutting up. Isn't this fabric gorgeous? I was going to refashion it into something to wear, but I couldn't resist it long enough to get there! It's almost gone already. This dragon pattern is from the Sweetbriar Sisters. They make some cute softie toy patterns. The dragon toy sewing pattern was my favorite, but this new penguin toy is a close second, so cute! I loved sewing this pattern! It was easy enough to follow but also made me feel like a better ...Continue Reading

super cheap DIY mod podge and a reason to buy more gelato
Guys. I love mod podge. But it is getting pretty expensive. So this DIY mod podge recipe is WAY cheaper! Probably about 1/3 the cost or less if you get the glue at a good price. I also love Talenti Gelato. Have you tried it? Freezer section, so so good. And the little plastic cartons it comes in is almost as good as it tastes. I mean, I would pay $4 just for that. So the gelato is a bonus. I have been saving them because they are the perfect little cute containers! With a little screw top! So useful! If a little plastic container can be ...Continue Reading

vintage v neck tee
Another pattern from the sew fab bundle...the vintage V neck tee by Blank Slate Patterns! This pattern is also super fast and a great basic to add to your collection! I used a grey jersey sheet set for this shirt, I left the top hem of the flat sheet, so it's like a 3" hem, but that also made it really fast. The pocket is a scrap of that tribal print I used a few months ago. ...Continue Reading
zermatt bow swing coat with corduroy + floral
I first released the Zermatt bow swing coat as a pattern about a year ago when I found out I was having a baby girl! This is the first time she's been able to wear one, even though I made her some before she was born. They fit in the wrong seasons. I have fast growing babies so it is hard to keep up! This pattern is my contribution to the Sew Fab Bundle. This week only you can buy the Zermatt bow swing coat in the sew fab bundle where you'll get 25 other patterns, too! WHAT A STEAL! Seriously, like a dollar per pattern. Buy the sew fab bundle ...Continue Reading
