Eleven in Hospital Gown Materials

2 yards quilting cotton or a sheet, I’m using Spotted Stripe White & Rose Gold (affiliate links)
White bias tape
Printable Pattern, see below

Hospital Gown Sewing Pattern

Download the hospital gown pattern below – enlarge if needed. The size included will fit most kids around ages 6-10.

Print from home computer and tape together as shown:

DIY Gown Sewing Instructions

Cut out 1 gown piece on the fold for the front. Cut out 2 pieces not on the fold for the back pieces.

Sew bias tape around the neckline, starting 10″ down the center back.

Sew gown pieces together at the shoulder seams.

Sew the bias tape around the neckline, leaving about 5-7″ at each side of the back neck to tie the gown.

Finish the edge of the dolman sleeve by pressing under 1/4″ TWICE. Sew.

Then fold the gown over with right sides together and match the side seams. Sew side seams. Sew back seam up to 9″ from the back neckline. Then hem the dress by pressing under 1/2″ twice at the bottom.

Eleven Hospital Wires Head Piece

To make this start with the pipe cleaners. If you have a model nearby, use their head to get a good frame. Start by making a circle, around the head. Then create a grid over the top as shown.
